I celebrated Samhuinn 2025 with a solemn ceremony after the sunset, with many candles, and a wide display of my ancestors photographs, joined with profound Celtic Druid prayers to my Celtic Gods of Brigid, Fionn, Maeve, Lugh, Morrigan, Belenus, Aeronwen, Machta, Cuchulainn, Dagda, Eriu and Scathach.

The Druidic prayers consisted of very hard, forceful, pressing of the hands together in the traditional prayer form, and then pressing the edges of the hands hard against my temple.

Verbally the Druidic prayers were asking my Celtic Gods for wisdom and strength in the year ahead, and while physically praying with my hands against my forehead kneeling over the spread of my ancestors photos, under the many candles in the dark temple room, my apartment, which is my Celtic Druid temple for now.

Then set one large plastic pumpkin with a batter powered light inside, on top of my air-conditioner outside my apartment, and set next to it three smaller plastic pumpkins, Three is a Sacred Number in Celtic culture as it symbolizes movement and life. I set them out to beckon my ancestors who will by flying as spirits through the dark night to locate my apartment and come to view and judge what I have accomplished this past year.

After 4-5 hours of hard Celtic Druid prayers and asking my Celtic Gods and Ancestors if what I have done the past year meets their standards and expectations for me, I put the ancestor photos away in my sacred wooden box, and put out the candles and go to sleep, leaving the lighted pumpkins going through the dark night.
